OUTLAWED! ‘Our Father Who Art In Heaven’

(Patriot Command Center)Just about the time you think Libtards can’t get any crazier they wage war on Fathers. Now, liberal activists are preparing to protest the word ‘Father’ in prayer and with public use. YIKES!

The use of the word “Father” at the beginning of The Lord’s Prayer poses challenges in the American context for those who have experienced mistreatment from their own earthly fathers.

“When we address God as ‘Father’ in our prayers, we must acknowledge  this term can be problematic, particularly for individuals who have suffered from abusive or destructive relationships with their earthly fathers.”

Moreover, it forces us to confront the oppressive and patriarchal aspects of our society,” expressed Cottrell during the 2023 presidential address at the York General Synod. “Regardless of our personal preferences or attempts to distance ourselves from one another, we are all connected as sisters and brothers, forming a familial bond within the household of God.”

Is this to be outlawed? According to Scripture, Jesus instructed people to say, “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.”

The archbishops of Canterbury and York, as mentioned on the Church of England website, describe this prayer as “simple enough to be memorized by small children and yet profound enough to sustain a whole lifetime of prayer.”

The Guardian reported on these remarks, highlighting their relevance to an ongoing division within the church regarding matters of sexuality, identity, and equality.

Canon Chris Sugden, chair of the conservative Anglican Mainstream group, criticized the statement, asking, “Is the archbishop of York suggesting  Jesus was mistaken or lacked pastoral awareness? It appears to reflect a trend among some church leaders who derive their guidance from cultural influences rather than Scripture.”

The Rev. Christina Rees, an advocate for female bishops, recognized  Cottrell had touched upon a significant issue  has been debated among Christians for years. She questioned, “Do we genuinely believe  God considers male human beings to bear His image more fully and accurately than women? Absolutely not.”

The report indicates  the church is examining the possibility of using “gender-neutral terms” and refraining from referring to God as “He.”

“The Christian faith has long recognized  God transcends gender, neither exclusively male nor female,” the Guardian quoted the church’s statement announcing the formation of a commission to study gendered language. “However, the diversity of ways in which God is addressed and described in Scripture has not always been fully reflected in our worship.”

Final Word: What exactly are we going to call ‘Father’s Day”?  So, if society can’t figure out what is a woman then how can they know what a man is and what in the world is a ‘Father’!  When this problem of the name of ‘Father’s Day’ is presented to a liberal he/him, she/her, they/them would probably have an answer like this: “Father’s Day’ could be renamed into: Sperm Donors Day.
