Last year, the UN’s World Mosquito Program released billions of gene-edited mosquitoes to fight dengue illness in Brazil. Brazil is facing an unparalleled dengue crisis, which contradicts this. Looks like this is nothing less than a Frankenstein experiment gone horribly wrong, but can it be stopped?
