The Democrats, including the Democrat Mayor of Washington, D.C., declined his offer. Consider the prospect of pursuing legal action against former President Trump, who played a prominent role in safeguarding the Capitol and its occupants during a tumultuous period.
Many falsely claim President Trump authorized extremist groups such as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers to incite insurrection lack concrete evidence to support them. The assertion lacks logical coherence. Contrary to claims suggesting Trump incited an insurrection, some argue his proposal to deploy military personnel actually contradicts such allegations.
When it comes to the removal of a president, the Constitution outlines a well-defined process: impeachment, subsequent conviction in the Senate, and ultimately, removal from office. The Democrats made an effort to scrutinize former President Trump, particularly in relation to the events transpired on January 6th. The impeachment process had all the earmarks of a witch hunt because it was hastily conducted, lacking proper hearings, due process, and substantial evidence, ultimately failing to achieve the intended outcomes.
