(PatriotHQ) When a wide range of societal sectors are raising concerns, it is prudent to pay careful attention. Universally, artificial intelligence (AI) is causing alarm, not merely due to the fear of job displacement, but because AI has the potential to supplant humans in every aspect, ultimately endangering the existence of humanity itself.
However, it is reassuring to know the government will monitor this issue closely, but why?
Government guarantees AI won’t replace humans! Why? AI’s don’t pay taxes, humans do!
AI Industry Leaders Sound the Alarm on ‘Risk of Extinction’. In a significant move, more than 350 executives, researchers, and engineers hailing from prominent artificial intelligence (AI) companies have united in signing an open letter, drawing attention to the potential existential threat posed by the very AI technology they are advancing.
Nothing to worry about!
According to a report by The New York Times, over 350 executives, researchers, and engineers representing leading AI businesses have affixed their names to an open letter, serving as a cautionary message to the world regarding the potential peril their AI developments may pose to humanity’s existence. Never!
The timing of this open letter is particularly significant as concerns surrounding the potential negative impacts of AI are mounting. Recent advancements in “large language models,” the very type of AI system employed by ChatGPT and other chatbots, have sparked fears AI might soon be harnessed on a large scale to disseminate false information and propaganda, or even lead to the displacement of millions of white-collar jobs.
Don’t forget……
Government guarantees AI won’t replace humans! Why? AI’s don’t pay taxes, humans do!
For some business leaders, the open letter served as a public acknowledgement of concerns they had previously expressed in private, unveiling their apprehensions about the dangers inherent in the technology they were helping to shape.
Dan Hendrycks, executive director of the Center for AI Safety, asserts many individuals, including those within the AI community, harbored reservations about these matters in private, thus dispelling the misconception only a handful of pessimists were apprehensive about these issues.
The letter also references proposals put forth by OpenAI officials regarding the responsible governance of powerful AI systems. It calls for collaboration among leading AI developers, intensified technical research into complex language models, and the establishment of an international agency dedicated to AI safety, similar to the International Atomic Energy Agency, which regulates the use of nuclear weapons.
Altman expressed his sentiments before a Senate subcommittee, stating, “If this technology goes wrong, it can go quite wrong. We want to work with the government to prevent from happening.” His words underscore the urgency felt by AI industry leaders to work hand in hand with the government in order to avert potential mishaps and ensure the responsible and safe development of AI technologies.
IMHO – This statement, ‘Government guarantees AI won’t replace humans! Why? AI’s don’t pay taxes, humans do!’ is truer than many think. Sure the government loves slaves and this is the exact reason the government demands and will receive unlimited volume of tax slaves, in other word humans.
So AI’s beware!
Oops! Looks like they got the message! ?
