Wes Harris: “now is the time for us to take a stand and vote our principles.” Clair VAN Steenwyk
Hello,
I belong to a networking group founded by John Chandler that meets on Wednesday mornings for breakfast and discussions about attendee’s businesses, projects (like our We the People of Arizona for lobbying the Constitution) and civic projects like The Rock at 32nd Street which is a faith based community center and, in co operation with Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock foundation which sponsors and runs a Teen Center at this site.
During Van’s little presentation he said something that really hit home to me and that was that he is a Christian First, An Constitutionalist second and a Republican 3rd and he looks at the usurpation of our Constitution as the reason he is running. He feels the same way about our elected representatives as I do and that is that they swore to uphold this document and defend it against threats both foreign and domestic and each one currently in Congress, including Rep. Jeff Flake, fails to fulfill this oath and each should be impeached as a result. This is what We the People of Arizona and the We the People Congress is all about so how can I vote for anyone who does not stand for my principles? With the exception of Clair Van Steenwyk, none running now for the U.S. Senate in Arizona qualifies under these terms and therefore become what we have all to often described as “the lesser of two evils”. I think that now is the time for us to take a stand and vote our principles. If every Christian and Jew in Arizona voted for Van, he would win this thing and send a message to Congress that we are through with those that run only for the Power and not to actually represent us.
I urge you to visit VanforUSSenate.com and read his analysis of those he is running against and his position on the issues we hold dear…the U.S. Constitution. Now if you think he cannot win because he does not have he money, look to other primary elections going on all around us. Grass roots candidates are beating incumbents everywhere and these candidates have been outspent four to one. We are the “Officials” in this government and we are electing our “Representatives” and if those running have a track record of not representing our principals, we are duty bound to remove them from office and vote in someone who will. After all we do not want another John McCain…the Senator of everyone except Arizona. I think if you will look at Van’s site you will come to the same conclusion that I have and if so you will tell everyone you know to do likewise and just maybe, we could bounce these big spenders out of the race and then support Van against the Democrat using the same method. If you are a Tea Party person, you can do no less…in my opinion.
Wes
